9 The Klingons Star Trek: Legacy could continue the nostalgia trip that began in Picard and bring back the original Star Trek villains as its main antagonists. Star Trek has yet to check in with the Klingon Empire in the 25th century and their relationship with the Federation has always been somewhat strained.
6 The Breen The Breen fought as enemies of the Federation in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's Dominion War, but they largely remain a mystery to the Federation. The Breen attacked Starfleet Headquarters in San Francisco during the Dominion War, a direct assault on Earth the likes of which few alien species have managed. Known as one of the most warlike species in the Alpha Quadrant, the Breen have advanced technology and weapons and appear to still be invading planets as late as 2381.
4 The Synthetics on Coppelius Star Trek: Picard season 1 revealed that after the Federation banned synthetic life in 2385, Dr. Bruce Maddox and Dr. Altan Inigo Soong moved their cybernetic research to the planet Coppelius. There, they developed a much more advanced version of organic synthetic life.
