Rather than going cold turkey and giving up booze for dry January, writer Helen Wilson-Beevers has been looking into a more sustainable approach to drinking.

She recommends taking some supplements to support your liver function, such as choline, curcumin and L-methionine.

“If you drink a lot of water and liquids, you will drink less alcohol – so staying hydrated is key. Green or matcha tea, green juices, kombucha, turmeric or matcha lattes are all great for emergency rehydration.”Small and steady wins the race
