A desperate search is ongoing on the Spanish island for the missing teenager
Jay Slater, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, went missing on the Spanish island after going to stay with people he had met after a night out, his friend Lucy told the Manchester Evening News. The 19-year-old was on holiday with Lucy and another pal for a music festival, but has since been reported missing to local police.
Jay was last in touch with Lucy at around 8am yesterday morning . He told her he had tried to catch a bus from the apartment where he had been to stay but was having to walk instead.
