The chance of rain is around 70 percent, with gusts of wind between 10 and 25 miles per hour, according to forecasters. The high for the day is 65 degrees. The region should see less than an inch of rain, though some areas with heavy rainfall could see more, forecasters said. Thunderstorms should then continue through the night, lasting into Saturday, forecasters said. Saturday has a 90 percent of precipitation, especially before 4 p.m.Houston has seen a rainy holiday across the region.Rain will linger throughout the Houston area before giving way to dryer weather, meteorologists said.
