Transnet has declared a Force Majeure on the Northern Corridor following a derailment.
Earlier in the week, the company reported a derailment, where a train carrying export coal en route to Richards Bay went off the tracks near Ulundi.
The company says that the route has been significantly disrupted and suffers delays because of violent extortion efforts by the Ulundi Business Forum.The SOE alleges that the dispute with the Ulundi Business ForumTransnet says the police have been deployed to the scene, and charges will be laid.
