"They're able to share in the experiences they're seeing on screen. The characters are relatable. The stories are exciting. They have twists, they have got turns, they're entertaining, they're bringing them joy... when you do a story like that, people tend to gravitate towards them. And I believe that our adaptations are doing this very well and entertaining South Africans, Africans, and you know what? The rest of the world as well.
On whether there are any more international remakes in the pipeline, Ghettuba teases,"Don't pre-empt me, my dear, but we have some exciting stuff coming."'A recipe for some joy and laughter' Last week the streaming service announced its latest show with Burnt Onion Productions, the powerhouse behind Africa's biggest festive franchise,, its newest Young Adult series launching on 15 September, follows Mbali Hadebe , who gets cancelled after police raid her house and seize her family's assets because of her mother's corrupt political dealings. Embarrassed, Mbali runs to Grahamstown, striving to reinvent herself and escape her mother's corrupt legacy.
