Hubbard, who led the Eagles to a Class 4A state title in the fall, was put on administrative leave Dec. 15 pending an unnamed investigation. He was then cleared of criminal wrongdoing regarding “accusations of inappropriate behavior involving several Broomfield High School students” in January.“We want to acknowledge the challenges and frustrations that have been felt by many of you during this process,” an email signed by principal Ginger Ramsey and athletic director Steve Shelton read.

Barber also said BVSD “completed an investigation that included interviews of 53 witnesses. We shared the report with the employee last week, and accepted the employee’s resignation today . As for a new football coach at Broomfield, Shelton said the job will be posted soon and the school will conduct a thorough search.
