However, as she later reveals, things have certainly worked out in her favor.
"I'm doing what I've always wanted to do," Alaina says as the clip concludes. "I'm living my best life." And while the documentary provides only a small peek at the performer's "best life," it's clear that more good things are definitely on the horizon.
