Foggy weather and winter conditions pose a challenge to the recovery of an unidentified car-sized object shot down over Yukon territory, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Monday. Accompanied by his youngest son Hadrien on a previously planned visit to the Yukon to meet with Premier Ranj Pillai and First Nations leaders, Trudeau was questioned by reporters about the shooting down on Saturday of what American and Canadian officials described as an “unidentified object.”
“This is a very serious situation,” Trudeau said, standing just inside a hangar at the Whitehorse airport, with a Royal Canadian Air Force C-17 and a C-130 transport aircraft on the tarmac behind him, shrouded in fog.
