Jeffrey Keene, a psychology teacher in Orlando, Florida, was fired by the district just hours after he gave the high school students the assignment, reports say.
ORLANDO, Florida — A high school psychology teacher has been fired after he asked his students to write their own obituaries as the school was getting ready to have an active-shooter drill on the same day.
Despite his intent, the assignment was received well by some students or school administrators. A student who was in Keene’s first-period class became upset about the assignment and went to a counselor,. During second period, a supervisor came to the class to observe, WSVN reports.
