After a hopeful first half, Florida State could get nothing going in the second. The result was a stinging defeat.
All-in-all, the Seminoles had four punts and two interceptions in the second half.
Pushed by by penalties, NC State still scored on a 53-yard field from Dunn to pull within one point before a Travis interception set them up for the game-winner.Travis was not the only player to struggle. Seminole receivers had four dropped passes inside NC State territory. "They made tackles when they needed to make them. They were able to defend the pass. They were able to get some positive gains in the run game and a couple of explosives that showed up. A couple of penalties that assisted drives, moving down the field. It was really just everything that could go wrong in the second half that really showed up."Florida State football: Former NC State QB Mike Glennon analyzes Seminoles vs.
It's been a rough season for the redshirt sophomore kicker. Fitzgerald earned a bit of redemption after connecting on a 47-yard field goal ahead of halftime to push the FSU lead to 17-3. "We had man-to-man coverage and that’s where we went," Norvell said."We had five different options on the play, depending on the look of what it’s going to be. I was good with anything that came within the different options in that play. We went and took the one-on-one, the defensive back jumped to the outside and caught Mycah, it disrupted it and it was one of those things that the guy made a good play.
