The latest polls reflect five straight weeks of the Seminoles sitting inside the top five.

The Seminoles are coming off a BYE week as they gear up for the remaining two-thirds of the regular season. This is a stretch where the team has an opportunity to display its expected level of dominance.On Sunday afternoon, the weekly Associated Press Top 25 Poll was released. Florida State stayed pat at No. 5 in the country after the week off.
As of now, Florida State has two ranked teams remaining on its schedule; Miami and Duke 19). The Seminoles are still the highest-ranked team in the ACC as North Carolina , Louisville , the Blue Devils, and the Hurricanes are the only other programs in the conference that are currently ranked. After dropping in the last two polls leading up to this week, the Seminoles may feel like they have a point to prove. However, all that the team needs to do is take care of business each weekend as they control their own destiny with eight regular season games remaining.
Florida State returns to Doak Campbell Stadium for the second time this year in a matchup against Virginia Tech on Saturday, October 7. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on ABC.
