Waller-Bridge took to eBay to auction the outfit she wore at the 77th annual Golden Globes that will be up for grabs until Monday, January 20.
She continued:"If money raised by its auction can help raise funds to fight the disaster in Australia, the future impact of this suit will be far greater than the luck it brought me and theSince news of the auction broke, designers Ralph and Russo have issued a statement in support of the TV show creator's decision:
"Being both from Australia originally and with much of our family still residents across the region, it is with a heavy heart that we watch and hear the news of the terrible fires currently engulfing such large areas of our homeland," the designers offered."With Australia remaining so close to our hearts, we are delighted to stand next to Phoebe to support relief efforts with this special auction.
Waller-Bridge now stands with a long list of celebrities including actors Chris Hemsworth, Nicole Kidman and Leonardo DiCaprio; musicians Pink and Sir Elton John; and sports stars Lewis Hamilton and Shane Warne who have supported fire relief in Australia.
At least 25 human deaths have been reported since the fires began toward the end of the summer, killing an estimated 1 billion animals and destroying several thousand homes.
