Bush to shreds with “Rockin’ in the Free World.” “We got a thousand points of light for the homeless man,” he sang, inverting one of Bush’s signature phrases before turning to his plea for a “kinder, gentler” America at the 1988 RNC. “We got a kinder, gentler, machine gun hand.
