Typically, those fringe prospects, the potential late-round fliers, choose to stay home.“When everybody started clearing the building in the seventh round, I was starting to get a bit frustrated,” he reminisced. “Looking back, I’m happy I was there. But at the time, I don’t know if I really wanted to go. I didn’t think I was going to be drafted. You never really know if they’re kind of blowing smoke — ‘Oh yeah, you’re going to get drafted in the fourth or fifth round.
