The Calgary Flames will be taking on the Edmonton Oilers in the 2023 Tim Hortons Heritage Classic at Commonwealth Stadium on Oct. 29.

It’s far from an annual tradition, though, as the 2023 game will only be the seventh time that a Heritage Classic will be played. It will also be the third time the Flames have participated in the game and the first time it will be a Battle of Alberta. The Flames previously hosted the Habs at McMahon Stadium in 2011 and took on the Winnipeg Jets at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium in late 2019.
