According to Jonatan Lindquist of Sweden's Viasat, Lindholm accepted a spot on the team Thursday, six days after the Calgary Flames were eliminated from the postseason by the Colorado Avalanche. The 24-year-old scored a career-high 27 goals and 78 points in 81 games with the Flames during the regular season. He added one goal and two points in five games during the team's first-round series.

Lindholm last appeared at the tournament with Sweden in 2017, when he posted five goals and seven points in 10 games en route to winning a gold medal.would not play for Sweden at the tournament since his wife is scheduled to give birth in May.The following were all named to Team Sweden for the tournament last week:
