Five teens are battling serious injuries after a horror smash in East Kilbride.

We previously reported that 999 crews raced to Crookedshields Road in the town shortly before 9pm on Sunday, June 2, after being made aware of the smash.

Now, cops have said the 18-year-old driver and two other passengers - aged 17 and 18 - were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medics have described their conditions as serious. "I’d be particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened, saw the black Astra being driven, or who has dashcam footage from the area around the time.A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 8.56pm on Sunday, June 2 to reports of a road traffic collision on Crookedshields Road in East Kilbride.
