This morning, the Mobile Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals spotted five dogs running around their building off Zeigler Boulevard after being dumped.
After a closer look, they found the dogs with fur matted so bad, they could barely see and were covered with fleas.
“With all the matting, it can also have underlying sores and there’s no way for air flow and cleanliness to happen with all these matts and they haven’t seen a bath in a long long time,” Strickland said.
