Sudbury loses 116-106, on brink of elimination from playoffs.
The Sudbury Five hit the road for the third game of their best-of-five series against the Windsor Express in the National Basketball League of Canada semi-finals on May 10.
With strong efforts from the likes of Express starters Ja’Myrin Jackson and Justin Moss, and performances off the Windsor bench from Jason Calliste and Tanner Stuckman, and equally solid performances from Five starters AJ Mosby Jr. and JD Miller, with Curtis Hollis and Mark Vital chipping in off the bench, the first quarter proved to be a tight affair, with Windsor holding a slim 29-28 lead by the end of the quarter.
With solid efforts from the likes of Montell McRae and Dexter Williams Jr., the Five came out for the second half looking to close the gap and gain some momentum heading into the final quarter. This is exactly what they did and the score was 82-76 for the Windsor Express with one quarter left to play.
