“By the 2080s, a significant portion of East Anglia and the south coast are also vulnerable,” reads the report.Happisburgh, NorfolkThe village on the north-east of Norfolk has gathered publicity for the erosion of its coast. Happisburgh was at most risk from the process, according to figures published in 2019 by the Environmental Agency’s national coastal erosion risk mapping project. The beach reaches to the thriving seaside town of Bridlington, which has independent gift, antique and other shops on its Georgian high street.South of Lowestoft, Kessingland Valley is under a flood risk management scheme.
