Five Bigfoot Java coffee stands in King and Pierce counties were robbed overnight Thursday into Friday morning, and investigators are trying to determine if the incidents are connected.
The first of these thefts happened in Tacoma at a coffee stand at East 72nd Street when police were called to an armed robbery. The suspects fled in their car, and Tacoma police have not provided descriptions of the suspects or their vehicles.
The victims described the female suspect as Hispanic, in her mid-20s to early 30s, about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with long black hair and a slight build. She was wearing dark clothes and a mask. The man was only described as being Asian or Hispanic. Another robbery happened around 12:50 a.m. in SeaTac at a Big Foot Java stand on Military Road S near 206th Street.
Just after 1 a.m., Seattle police officers were called to reports of a shooting at the Arco at 10504 Aurora Avenue N.Based on evidence at the scene and information from witnesses, the gunshots were fired from a white SUV,Medics took the victims — a 23-year-old man, a 24-year-old man, and a 43-year-old woman — to Harborview Medical Center with varying injuries.
When officers arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries and quickly started first aid, but the 26-year-old Kent man was pronounced dead at the scene after Puget Sound Fire and Medics arrived.Olympia Police are warning residents about an uptick in vehicle prowlers and vandalisms, with 20 reported incidents this week.
