THUNDER BAY – Five people have been arrested following an alleged home takeover on the city’s north side.
According to a release issued on Friday by Thunder Bay Police, the accused were arrested on drug-trafficking charges after the community- oriented engagement unit was sent to a residential address in the 200 block of Blucher Avenue on Thursday, just before 11:30 a.m. Police say upon entering the home they observed evidence of drug-trafficking activity and the suspects were located and arrested without incident.
A quantity of crack cocaine, cash, paraphernalia consistent with drug activity and firearm ammunition were allegedly recovered at the scene.Five people from Thunder Bay, ranging in age from 27 to 34, were charged with a variety of offences, including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
