The activity raises funds for the Sudbury Game and Fish Protective Association
After a two-year absence due to COVID, the Sudbury Game and Fish Protective Association brings back its 43rd annual fish pond fundraiser. There will be more than 1,000 rainbow trout placed in the 18-foot pool.
“SGAF promotes catch and release,” said a press release from the club. “However, that’s not to say, that you can’t take a trout home for dinner. This is a perfect outing for kids and family.” After the March break, the pond is taken down, and the remaining fish are removed and brought to a local lake approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
