Mississauga\u0027s Nathaniel Marksman has won $1 million with the first lottery ticket he ever bought.
The 24-year-old toy store worker won the MaxMillions prize worth $1 million in the June Lotto Max draw.
“I thought the machine was broken while checking my ticket at the store after seeing all the zeroes. I asked the clerk for help, and he told me it wasn’t broken. I was shocked and surprised, then I got in my car and cried happy tears,” Marksman said, adding his first call about the win was to his brother.
“He was laughing and shocked because it was my first time playing and I won. I’m on top of the world.” Marksman says he will share his prize money with his brother, help his mother with her mortgage and spend some on his niece and nephew.Share this Story:
