The curation team’s ability to sort through incredibly complex layers of internet chatter to contextualize random trends became a meme in 2021, when users imagined a single beleaguered “Over time, Twitter’s curation team also became a key resource for preventing panic whenever an older celebrity started to trend.
Fun aside, the curation team was also an important line of defence against misinformation circulating on Twitter.could prevent or treat COVID-19. When the term trended, the curation team would attach additional context about the drug, along with a curated fact check highlighting trusted news sources.
