, which enjoys a cult-like following in Austin, officially opens to the public on Dec. 14, serving up authentic New York-style pies, slices, sub sandwiches, salads, and calzones to a pizza-starved Houston.

Named by TripAdvisor as one of the best pizzerias in the country, the restaurant is Home Slice’s fourth location and first outside its home base in Austin.The long lead-in to the Houston opening has given area foodies plenty to be excited about, despite the long wait . Already, the restaurant has built up plenty of buzz with pizza aficionados eager to slice into its menu.
The menu includes salads, antipasti , salad Caprese, and garlic knots, as well as calzones and hot and cold subs built on house-baked bread. House-made desserts and beer and wine fill out the menu.
