Haas' VF-24 F1 car has hit the track for the first time for a shakedown test at Silverstone.
The American outfit shared a clip of the VF-24 leaving the garage as it headed out to complete its first laps around the British Grand Prix venue on
It marks the first time that Haas’ 2024 challenger has been seen in public after the team released digital renders of its latest F1 car earlier this month.F1 teams are now allowed to complete 400km of running - up from 200km - during these two permitted days of ‘promotional events’.Haas are looking to bounce back from a difficult 2023 campaign which saw them end the year bottom of the constructors’ championship in 10th.
Despite the VF-23 showing impressive flashes of speed at times in qualifying, the car struggled badly over race distances, resulting in Hulkenberg and teammateLong-serving team principal Guenther Steiner has left Haas and has been replaced by Ayao Komatsu, the team’s former director of engineering.
