BRITAIN’S FIRST and only elected Black police boss has been picked to run in a safe seat at the next general election.
The former special constable will run in the Mid Bedfordshire byelection, which has a rock solid 24,000 majority, whenever Dorries gets around to carrying out her promise to resign. But she now says she is delaying her departure until she gets information about discussions at Number 10 about the peerage, which means the byelection may be delayed until the autumn, or even later.
