The Philippines received Monday night, May 10, 2021, 193,050 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 .
As of May 10, the Philippines has received a total of 2,749,050 doses from Covax, including the 2.556 million doses of the AstraZeneca/Oxford adenoviral vector vaccine. The Philippines is among 92 low and middle income economies that are eligible to receive vaccine donations or subsidized allocations through the Covax advance market commitment mechanism.Covax is a global initiative that aims to ensure the poorer nations gain access to the vaccines.
As of May 8, 2,395,494 doses have been administered to 1,951,698 individuals, of whom 443,796 have also received their second dose.
