SNAP payments arrive in Hawaii on Thursday and continue for two days until Saturday. A household's specific payment arrival date will depend on the Social Security number, case number, account number, or last name associated with the food stamps program.Maximum payments increased for all 50 states and Washington, D.C., Guam, and the Virgin Islands in August 2022 due to cost-of-living adjustments. Since 2020, maximum payments for Hawaii residents have increased substantially.
In Hawaii, a household of one can receive a maximum payment of $538. A household of four can collect as much as $1,794, and a household of eight can receive up to $3,230. For each additional household member, the program includes a maximum of $404.Eligible SNAP households will receive their payments via a prepaid electronic benefit transfer card.
Around 169,000 people receive SNAP benefits in the Aloha State. The average payment per household member per month is $175.
