Firefighters hope cooler Cape Town weather will aid efforts to douse Table Mountain blaze

Staff from the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens walk through an area that burned some time before on 26 April 2024 in Cape Town . Due to the latest fires, several hiking trails on Table Mountain were temporarily closed.

City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Jermaine Carelse said the fire was still active and that the fire line was clearly visible on Table Mountain.
