Firefighters are battling a house fire on Freeman Street in the Morrisania section of the Bronx on Monday afternoon.One firefighter was burned while battling a house fire in the Bronx on Monday.The fire started in the basement of the home before it quickly spread around 11 a.m.
The firefighter's injuries were described as a minor burn and he was taken to Jacobi Medical Center for treatment. Four residents who live in the building were left homeless, but firefighters kept the flames from spreading to any other homes.
