Authorities responded to a major fire in a residentitial neighborhood
Units responded to a structure fire in the Summerwood neighborhood of Bountiful on Saturday night. Crews responded to a major fire that erupted in a residential neighborhood of Davis County Saturday night.
Authorities of Bountiful City Police Department said that they were on scene of the fire in the Summerwood neighborhood by 11:30 p.m. Nov. 4. Bountiful Fire Chief Mike Hansen told 2News that the fire sparked in the attic of a home and quickly spread. He said it wiped out the entire roof and the majority of the home's upper level.The occupants of the home, a family, were able to evacuate in a timely manner. No injuries were sustained to anyone involved.
Officials closed off Summerwood Drive from Summerwood Circle to Oxford Way while they worked to contain the blaze.Chief Hansen said that the cause of the fire is still under investigation and had no estimation of an amount in damages.
