A major fire has broken out in a Glasgow tenement with one person rushed to hospital.At the height of the inferno, nine fire engines were required to get the fire under control.A person was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a fire at a flat on Garthland Drive, Glasgow at 2.43am on Thursday, December 29. “Operations control mobilised nine appliances to the scene. Once the casualty was reported and was taken to the hospital suffering smoke inhalation. Crews remain in attendance.”
