A 67-year-old man has died after a head-on collision with a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 17 in Satsuma, Florida, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
PUTNAM COUNTY — A 67-year-old man from Georgetown, Florida has died in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 17 in Satsuma, Florida on Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash report says the man was traveling southbound in a green pickup truck on U.S. Highway 17 near Michener Avenue when his truck made contact with another pickup truck at 4:13 p.m.After making contact, the green pickup truck then drifted into the northbound lane, where it collided with a semi-truck head-on.
The man, who was the sole occupant in the pickup truck, was killed in the crash. The semi-truck driver, a 27-year-old woman from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was uninjured. Neither have been identified.
