Fezile Dabi District Municipality’s Municipal Manager, Sipho Thomas, has dismissed allegations from the Economic Freedom Fighters that he falsified his qualifications.
The EFF in the Free State has called for Thomas’ suspension, alleging he misrepresented his qualifications to secure his position. The party has also opened a criminal case of corruption against him. EFF Provincial Legislature member, Bosanku Msimanga says, “The minimum requirement, part of it to be a Municipal Manager, has been falsified. We’re in possession of that information. And this thing is happening under the DA-led government of Fezile Dabi District Municipality. As if it is not enough, the Executive Mayor of the DA in Fezile Dabi, decided to give this character the highest notch without reasons. We want to know why he is paying him the highest notch.
