The Ferrari F50 would have set Rod back £390k at the time, but its rarity means the current anonymous owner could make up to £3m.
A Ferrari F50 owned from new by Rod Stewart is up for auction. The Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? singer took delivery of the 202mph dream car in 1997.
The odometer shows just 10,998 miles from new, and the car is offered fresh from an annual service and clutch replacement carried out in August 2023. Ed Callow of Collecting Cars says: "F50s have rocketed in value since Sir Rod Stewart owned this one, and I would not be surprised if it makes north of £3 million."
"Dubbed by some as 'a road-legal F1 car with two seats', the F50 offers incredible performance with an immersive driving experience, and this particular car is offered freshly serviced and ready to thrill on the open road."Top showbiz news Earlier this year we reported Sir Rod had sold his 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta at auction for over £300,000.
