Carlos Sainz may not have won the 2023 Italian Grand Prix, but he also almost lost his R12m Richard Mille watch after an attempted robbery.

Sainz and Leclerc headed to Monza, Italy, to represent the Ferrari team at its home race. Finishing inside the top four with both cars - a first this year - was a strong result for the team after what can only be described as a dismal 2023 season.

The Ferrari team has struggled to unlock pace in their car and identify the perfect balance for the different circuits and racing conditions. They put a lot of time, effort and emphasis into making the SF-23 as good as possible for the Tifosi around the Monza circuit.Though Sainz led the race's opening 14 laps, he could not keep the mighty Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez at bay, but the team was 'best of the rest' on the day it perhaps mattered most.
