Just weeks after Banyana Banyana lifted their first ever Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and ahead of two friendly international matches against Brazil, the country has had a footballer moving across the South Atlantic Ocean.
Cape Town-born forward Rebecca-Joy Adams has joined Brazilian club Sao Bernardo and is currently playing in the Campeonato Paulista de Futebol Feminino . "I have always wanted to play in Brazil, so this is about fulfilling my dreams. I have done what I have always wanted to do," he tells"How I got this opportunity here in Brazil is that while I was playing for North-East Texas Community College while on a scholarship in the USA my video was sent to the professionals teams in Brazil.
