UPDATE: A female with a gun entered the facility and fired 'several rounds,' according to police. The shooter has a relationship with a resident of the facility.

Royse City police say at 9:15 the woman entered Royse City Medical Lodge, a nursing home and rehab facility off Interstate 30, with a gun and fired several rounds inside the facility.Police say that when officers confronted the shooter, she surrendered and was taken into custody.

No information has been released about the suspect, but police say the shooter has a relationship with a resident of the facility.More details are expected to be released at a news conference later today.
