Portugal international Joao Felix debuted just a day after joining Chelsea on-loan from Atletico Madrid, as veteran striker Aleksandar Mitrovic missed out for Fulham through suspension.
Chelsea enjoyed little joy up top well ahead of the half-hour mark and were close to falling behind after Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s cracking strike from the area clattered off the bar. Chelsea were very close to draw level minutes apart from an attempt by Hall following good work to the area, but goalkeeper Bernd Leno produced a remarkable stop.
The visitors drew level two minutes from halftime after Kalidou Koulibaly sneaked a loose ball from an attempt by Mason Mount in the area over the line and beyond Leno.
