As the year progresses, so do conservation efforts in South Africa. Adjustments in daily conservation fees aim to support SANParks' primary mission of overseeing the conservation of South Africa’s biodiversity, landscapes, seascapes and heritage assets.
SANParks has updated the entry rates after annual tariff hikes for visiting the Western Cape’s national parks, effective 1 November 2023.
Foreign visitors from SADC countries will see their rates bump up to R110. Meanwhile, travellers from other international locations should prepare to pay R220. Child rates stand at R55 and R110, respectively, which are half the adult prices.Bontebok National Park sees a similar increase in daily conservation fees. South African residents will now have to pay R55, marking a slight uptick from R52. Youngsters under 12 are charged R27, and infants under two years old continue to enjoy free entry.
SADC country visitors will have their fees set at R110, while visitors from other foreign countries will be charged R220. Child rates are at R55 and R110.West Coast National Park sees a new rate of R74 for South African residents, up from R70.
