FDNY battles early morning three-alarm fire in Middle Village via QNS
Thirteen units consisting of 138 firefighters responded to the fire, which FDNY said was under control at 9:01 a.m. No injuries were initially reported.The properties damaged from the fire include a deli and shuttered tavern.As of 9:15 a.m., the cause of the fire is still being investigated.As a result of the fire, the subway’s nearbyhad to limit services.
According to New York City Transit, there was no service between Myrtle Avenue and Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue. Middle Village-bound M trains were ending at Broadway Junction on the J line.Additionally, New York City Transit announced that the Q38 and Q67 bus routes have been. The Q38 will not be stopping between 69th Street and 66th Road and Metropolitan Avenue at 62nd and Fresh Pond Road.
