Ansu Fati and Robert Lewandowski were among the goals for FC Barcelona, who thrashed Elche 4-0 in LaLiga action on Saturday night. SLInt MORE:
Xavi Hernandez made five changes from El Clasico before the FIFA break, as Marcos Alonso, Jordi Alba, Eric Garcia, Ferran Torres and Fati were recalled.
The league leaders enjoyed a lot of possession in the early stages of the first half, although Elche were quite happy to sit back and soak up the pressure. Barcelona could have had a two-goal cushion at the break when Lewandowski was presented with another opening on 43 minutes, but the striker could not keep his header on target.
It wasn't too long until Barcelona got the third goal as Lewandowski completed his brace on 66 minutes after latching onto a pass from Gavi before firing past Edgar Badia.
