At least two people were killed and nine unaccounted for after the West Reading blast Friday.
It happened just before 5 p.m., sending debris and a plume of black smoke into the air, destroying one building and damaging a neighboring building that included apartments.

Interviewed by 6ABC, Kristen Wisniewski, who lives three blocks from the plant, said: “It was the loudest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. It literally felt like the ground fell out from underneath you. The whole house shook and my dogs froze, they couldn’t move, it was scary.” Eight people were taken to Reading Hospital Friday evening, Tower Health spokeswoman Jessica Bezler said.Hospital has received a total of eight patients. One has been transferred, two in fair condition and others will be discharged.
