Fatal crash closes Highway 17 at Burma Road

OPP said they arrived at the scene at about 9 p.m. on Monday night, along with Clearwater Bay Fire, Kenora Fire and Emergency Services and Kenora Northwest Emergency Medical Services to find a serious two-vehicle collision involving a pair of sport utility vehicles.

One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and passenger of the other SUV sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Lakee of the Woods District Hospital for treatment.
