pickup slams in to rock cut
Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on County Road 40 between County Road 6 and Webster Road late, 2023, Peterborough County OPP received a call reporting a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 40. A pickup truck had left the roadway entering the ditch and striking a rock wall at which point the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver, a 27-year-old male from Norwood, was transported to a lo cal hospital where he was pronounced deceased. County Road 40 remained closed for several hours while police investigated, and members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene.
