Karen Cherney, whose excitement kept her from sitting for much of the game, said she has been a Jaguars fan since the very beginning and was very excited by the 2022 season. This was her first year having season tickets, and she joked that she brought luck to the team. The environment felt like a mix between a big tailgate and a family reunion, with fans high-fiving strangers as they walked in and hugging their loved ones as the Jags worked their way down the field.
Ellenwood said he hopes to see more watch party events for away games to promote the local economy and grow a “winning culture” for the city. Jacksonville native Kat McLeod, 31, said she was shocked and thrilled to be not only at Daily’s and supporting the Jaguars in the playoffs but also to be clad in a jaguar-print jumpsuit and teal wig she has been waiting years for an opportunity to wear.
