After trying to run the new offense that was built for Trey Lance with Jimmy G under center against the Broncos, we saw quickly how awful it looked, it just did not work. Against the Rams, the 49ers went back to last year’s conservative scheme with a run-heavy approach with play action mixed in and cruised to a victory.
The offense looked unstoppable, gaining chunks at a time while bleeding the clock. Mix in one of the best defenses in the league, and this team now looks like a sleeper Super Bowl contender.As for the Eagles, they have quickly captivated the nation with their dominant performances while remaining undefeated. Arguably one of the best teams in the nation, the Eagles have talent at nearly every position, while Jalen Hurts takes a much-needed leap in production.
They have the best offensive line in football, negating any backfield pressure and potential defensive Havoc. This has allowed Jalen Hurts to burn teams through the air and his feet, showing he’s one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in football. Both the 49ers and Eagles are on the road against two weak teams, the Panthers and Cardinals, this week, with spreads that are a little too high for my liking. Instead, I will be parlaying their moneyline to bring the juice to a little better than +100.
